Why is High-Resolution Audio Important?

Today, thanks to new and advanced recording technologies available, original musical performances can be digitized almost exactly as they were during the performance. However, these high-quality recordings are often listened to through lower-quality audio formats such as MP3 or lower-quality streaming services. The scenery and ambiance of the original performance are often lost when listening to compressed MP3 music. After considering these issues, founding Astell&Kern was a step we took to provide a solution to poor sound quality for the sake of portability and to revive original sound quality for artists, engineers and professionals.
